Richmond HC - Sponsorship Opportunities

Richmond HC is offering a number of micro-sponsorship opportunities to support the club as it embarks on its next chapter.

We are a volunteer-run community club with a rich sporting and cultural heritage.

Founded in 1874 we are the second-oldest hockey club in the world; and recently celebrated our 150th anniversary with a huge celebration at The Allianz "Twickenham" Stadium in recognition of our shared heritage (Edwin Ash, Richmond’s founding chairman, founded the Rugby Football Union in 1871) in September 2024, where we hosted current and former members of the Richmond HC family.

The club was historically based at Old Deer Park but has since moved to the Quintin Hogg Memorial Ground (“QHMG”), a ground now owned and managed by Latymer Upper School who have now installed a 3rd hockey astroturf on site as well as progressing with a substantial programme of works to upgrade the site overall.

The QHMG, was previously known as the Polytechnic Ground and hosted the hockey preliminaries of the 1948 London Olympics.

• A world record for the marathon was set here in 1963 by the American runner, Leonard Edelen.
• Today, the wider Richmond HC community is 3,000+ strong
• Each week, the club fields 13 men’s and women’s sides in league hockey.
• The club also has a thriving junior section of 550+, drawn from local schools.
• There is a wider active parent community of over 1000.
• Our youngest playing member is 6 years old and the oldest in their 70s!
• 5,000+ followers across social media.

We are looking to build enduring multi-year relationships to ensure the sustainability of the club and to secure the future of top-class hockey in Richmond for another 150 years.
